Through this experience, I feel like I am becoming a nurse who is more understanding and open minded. Being here has shown me how important it is to look at the whole situation someone is living in, not just their health problem. I want to be the type of nurse who listens, shows compassion, and respect different cultures and lifestyles.
I felt the most confident when I was interacting with patients and helping where I coulld in the clinic. Even though things were different from what I am used to, it felt good to be able to help people and be part of the team. Moments like that made me feel like I am growing into my role as a future nurse.
I practiced integrity by doing my best to help the team and being honest about what I know and what I still need to learn. I also triedd to stay responsible for the tasks I was given and make sure they were done correctly. Being accountable means showing up ready to work and supporting the team however I can.
One ethical consideration I noticed was how important it is to treat every patient with dignity and respect, even when resources are limited. It also made me think about fairness and access to healthcare because many people in this community do not have the same access to care that others might have. It reminded me how important it is to provide care that is respectful and equitable.
One leadership quality that stood out to me was the abillity to stay calm and organized while helping many patients. The providers and leaders were also very supportive and willing to teach us whie we worked. They showed patience, teamwork, and the abillity to problem solve even when resources were limited.

Love seeing the videos of you playing with the kiddos. So sweet. You are right, we all were able to problem solve and use our critical thinking for problems that arose that we would likely never see in the United States.
